Pommel Jewel of the Equalizer
Can't remember exactly where I found it, but it's been occupying a slot in my inventory since early chapter 1. It says on the wikia that this item can be found in Irenicus' prison.

Why do I have it in my inventory?

Because you picked it up in Irenicus' Prison..not sure what your real question is here.
If you get all the Equalizer parts you can have it be forged into a Long Sword.

I confused Irenicus' prison with the asylum. Thought it was a bug. Thanks for helping a fellow human through his struggles with retardation.

Ah okay now I understand your thinking. haha

you can store the pommel in a gem bag if its eating up that much inventory space...

you could store it in any container in walkeens promenade too if you wanted to.

if you don't plan on making the sword, you should sell it for early cash.

the sword before enhanced edition used to add damage to the main hand for evil alligned targets.

I think they changed it for enhanced edition though. used to be a good off hand weapon.

I sold it soon after leaving the dungeon. It's one weapon I never saw much point in getting.

On paper it doesn't seem like much but it's a very potent offhand weapon because you get the effects on your mainhand as well. At least if the EE hasn't changed that.

It's just hard figuring who it's worth using against.
Armanz Aug 31, 2018 @ 2:53pm
Well most enemies, excluding most Golems and summons are evil and most of the evil ones are chaotic evil. It's a worthwhile weapon for most of the game as long as it's in the offhand.
But I that part has been fixed and now the bonus for it applies to the weapon itself only.

So, it no longer checks to see if it's attacking a neutral, chaotic, or lawful before it decides which bonus it's going to apply to its next combat roll? That deal caused me to sell it before I ever completed it as a weapon.
Armanz Aug 31, 2018 @ 4:58pm
Nono, the weapon works as intended but it *used* to apply that same bonus to your mainhand weapon *if* you used Equalizer on your offhand. The EE fixed that bug (though it's hardly considered a bug by most, since it's the only reason equalizer is useful) and now the equalizer only gives you the damage and thaco bonus for the equalizer itself, not your other weapon.

as well as immunity to charm and confusion. yeah they reworded the equilizer. most undead is evil, so if you have the Foebane and purifier thats a solid bunch of damage it adds to the strikes. but yeah don't think it works in EE.

I have all three parts. Who can forge it into a sword? I'm now in Throne of Bhaal, Cespinar don't speak about this sword and Genza Bow (forgot how to call it right, bow that strikes with lightings and have +4 THAC0)
red255 Mar 23, 2020 @ 6:18pm
it should have been forged by cromwell back in SoA.

I might be mistaken here but doesn't Caspenar only forge ToB content items?
