Cant kill Trolls

Fighting troll get them down to 1 bar on their life, but they recover time after time.. Only when my cleric hits then with a acid arrow when on 1 bar do i kill them
However despite having Acid arrows my Cleric will not shoot them Can anyone explain

Well, you need a final hit with fire or acid to kill them.

Clerics cannot use bows, so acid arrows cannot be used by a cleric.

tempted to elaborate. not really sure where to go from D'amarr. if you have Nalia around she can fire acid arrows from a short bow. she also could cast melf's acid arrow or melf's minute meteor or eventually chromatic orb can't remember the level where chrome orb does acid damage.

eventually you can pick up the flail of ages +3 and the axe in the dungeon think its called frostreaver, that does enough acid or fire damage to kill trolls.

but yeah you need to finish off trolls with acid or fire. there are some fire resistant trolls at some point that need to be killed with acid.

Cleric has a spell. lemme check. I know it has flame strike eventually.

level 2 spell called 'flame blade' should probably work.

I did have the acid arrows and it was working. However she stopped firing them (they were available) but no matter how I ordered her to fire ...nothing just stood there?

Do you have any screenshots? what you are saying is hard to explain because clerics cannot equip longbows or shortbows or arrows.

No, just fire or acid damage in general, i.e. regardless of where it's an enchanted weapon, an enchanted arrow, a spell or a summoned thing that does fire damage (e.g. a fire elemental). And when the troll has been knocked down (= "Near Death" and lying on the ground), the guy doing fire/acid damage must not miss, of course.

Simple answer: a cleric can't use arrows. Give them to someone else.

Possibly from old age?

Add any magic for weapons
And if points are added for the revived troll, then this is the only place where you can level up the cleric hero, but I haven’t checked Although it worked perfectly on snails in Tom and Jerry

Not if he's trying to kill them with cleric and arrows since 2018.

It was true when 2nd Edition came out. It was true five years ago, when this thread was started. And it's still true today. The only way to permanently kill trolls is with fire or acid.

There is one more way, Crom Fayre insta kills trolls (plus golems and ettins)

Uh, come on! As to craft that weapon, player must have been to the Underdark and must have completed quite some other dungeons.

Much earlier one can buy the Stonefire +3 axe and the Sword of Flame +1 long sword from Bernhard at Copper Coronet, the sword also at the Adventurer's Mart (Waukeen Promenade).
