Ok.
i've done the undead hunter. game always seems to have more undead than anything else.
Why Valgar over someone less squishy? he can't wear heavy armor, means sure he can sneak and backstab but so could Jan.
You could use Minsc or Keldorn, Or Mazzy or Korgan. I'm just trying to see the roll he serves in your army.
Imoen, functionally identical to Nalia and you get Nalia alot earlier considering you have Jan to be your thief.
never really been hellishly impressed with Jahiera. she works its just druid weapons are rather limited, her prof points take a while to get her to dual wield and if you go for that shes stuck using clubs for a while. if you get her defensive with hardiness and the Divine Shield spell or whatever its called at the first rank of spells she can take hits
cast certain spells on amonen he can take it to your front line just fine with a flail of ages
Jan of course can solo anything with his epic spike traps
The only problem I see is who going to get the Shadow Dragon Scale? With your mod, both Jahiera and Valygar are going to want it. You'll pick up the White Dragon Scale in ToB but that's a long way off and none of the other armors are comparable. I can't remember if the green dragon armor from SoD transfers in.
I suppose Jahiera can use Barkskin spells, but the duration sucks on it and it's a pain to keep casting it (a manageable one, but 100 hours in a chronic one). I don't have my 2nd Ed. books anymore, but as I recall the Druid restrictions were that armor and weapons had to be natural* and Druids could wear/fabricate Ironwood plate armors and the like. So something like Ankheg Plate Armor would be fine, but chainmail would not.
*I don't know why leather is considered natural and metal is not. Leather is chemically treated hide and metal is smelted ore, what makes one more synthetic than the other? They're both sourced from natural ingredients. The studs in studded leather are metal, is there a certain % metal that can be in armor before it's considered unnatural? Is there a Druidic standards association that goes around certifying these tihings? Inquiring minds want to know.
Role-playing is also why I put Imoen in, rather than Aerie or Nalia. Why abandon her? But beyond her and (maybe) Valygar, I'm open to tactical decisions.
{sigh} Being prepared for everything is not proving to be easy...
the romanceable characters are Amonen, Dorn, Rassad and Hexxat for a lady. God knows. Fan Romance mods are pretty cancer but if you enjoy it by all means.
Maybe get a Saerlith mod. should work with some sloppy Paladin on Paladin action.
