I usually leave Twisted Rune & Kangaxx last (until hitting Chapter 3), but as you demostrated it's definitely doable almost right after Chapter 1.
And of those three days, I spent one resting. I managed to do everything mentioned above up through the first half of the Stockade before I had to head back and rest so I could take on the Wizards and the last of the guards. Once before the Lich, and then again to get my spells set for the Twisted Rune.
Silly me, I was so busy pickpocketing that scroll, along with the Ring of the Ram, that I never actually talked to Tolgerias about the Planar Sphere quest. Too bad I need to kill Valygar for it.
