Godlike Achievement

I drank a few potions of genius and got to intelligence 25 but the acheivement did not pop. I reloaded the save file and tried a few times with no luck.

I am getting other achievements (side quests and story mostly).

I am in story mode right now though and noticed that my strength is perma 25. does story mode make the achievement not possible?

I think so.

Story Mode can be toggled any time in the settings, though, since it is not the difficulty slider but a separate checkbox. So, if drinking potions works for you already, go ahead!

well, I'm just going through the game for a second play through right now so I can get the solo achievement and Friend of Volo. I'll just try for Godlike on my next run then.

Why the extra effort? You've got savegame files. Load one, turn off Story Mode, do stuff with your main character to buff an attribute to 25, and then return to your Story Mode savegame.

I achieved that once with Story Mode in a multiplayer game. But the attribute can be buffed to 25 with a wish spell, I recall.
