If you have a Cleric, Druid or someone with healing spells memorized, they cast them while resting and accelerate the healing of the party. Otherwise you get the default rate which is really low.
You can accelerate this by equipping something that gives you regeneration before you rest (either a ring or having a CON>21 will work). If you have Draw Upon Holy Might from your BG dreams, cast it before you rest and (if it boosts your CON over 20) it should speed up your healing a lot.
I just spawned Constitution tomes and got my constitution over 21 and it hasn't affected healing time at all, takes 16 days to heal to full health. Is it glitched because I used tomes to get to 21 constitution? The passive regen while playing is working it just isn't speeding up health regen during sleeping.
Tried for 25 CON too and it still does not reduce # of days spent Resting to full health.
Any ideas for reducing the # of days spent healing on a solo playthrough with a Sorceror? I just don't like the fact that I'm sleeping 15 days every few moments. I guess you're supposed to stack tons of healing potions?
You need to disable rest until healed if you have at least 1 regen item/ability on your injured party mates.
for a sorcerer, you play Lawful Neutral and steal the Ring of Regen off Ribald with your Ferret and then never worry about HP again.
or if you don't like that method, just get one of the other regen items and that'll work too.
ANY amount of regen, even the regen for 20 COn will full heal anything except a VERY high level warrior class with maxed HP rolls with 8 hours of rest/travel. (this makes Kagain in BG1 a deceptively good party member since he's essentially always at maximum HP no matter what)
