removing Cultist
So, my best builder who has been with me in the campaign since the first city (TOTALLY lucked out on her perks) has been infected with Cultist. Is there some way for me to remove this from her, or do I have to abandon her?

RP note: She is my character's wife.

Can't you just reload one of the previous autosaves and seperate her from whomever is a cultist?

I don't think there's any way to remove it, and I'm not sure you'd want to. It does give a happiness bonus, and the downside is that she'll sometimes refuse to kill zombies.

Wait, so the cultists don't commit suicide? I have always been scared of the cultists since I thought about Rebuild 2 and how they comitted suicide.

I'm pretty sure they used to still comit suicide at least. I am almost certain that happened in an earlier build when going against the chosen ones.

So after that post I went back to playing and my wife, the cultist, committed suicide. That's one way to remind me :)

Cultist is, whzen you get it, a "good" perk because of the happiness bonus.
But some day (especially after the update, that keeps the events!) they will kill themselves!
So its one of the worst traits ever ;)

Banning Cultist Literature and denying their wishes might result in them stopping to be a cultist. It's a matter of luck and time (if they don't kill themselves before).
A restart of that certain mission is probably quicker.

Anyway cultists in RB3 are not as suicidal as in RB2 and getting people/weakening opponents with missionaries is quite funny. (You need a certain percentage of cultists to do so)

Still, I'd like to see a way to remove cultists like you remove religion. If perks can change, this should be one too. No idea how you still have a cult when it's gone.
After the latest update, there needs to be a way to remove the cult perk. I had so many of my top people become a cultist and I had no way of stopping it.

What do you mean with 'removing religion'?

Devout goes away if you have no churches. Though it does seem to take A LOT longer than it used to.

Well, as written above: the cultist perk does go away too, just not as easy.

You know it would be good if you managed to combat religion with religion. Like the Cultists worship zombies but other religions like Catholics, Christians, Muslems, Buddest's and so on well they would likely be very against the Cultists and the Cultists well by how most's cults go would likely want to forcefully get rid of religions that go against them.

So it would be interesting if you could counter the Cultists by strengthening ties to non zombie worshipping religions.

This would likely infuriate the Cultists and weaken relations but it would be rather fun and an interesting way to counter the Cultists or even have the non zombie worshipping religions to do preaching missions in Cultist territory or your own to get a chance to convert Cultists from that to a better religion.
