Newest speed is great, but game is much harder?

Loving the update, especially the new speed because that lets me do everything faster. But I'm just curious, has anyone noticed the difficulty of the game increase because the game is faster? And I'm not talking about the obvious "adapt to speed" sort of things, but it feels like the places are getting infested way too quickly, and hordes are popping up really frequently, even more so than on regular time than I remember. (I played on Challenging to test things out)
Does anyone else think this or is this just what I should expect from super speed?
P.S. Love how I can finally level up survivors on field, bars and churches but I still think the rate might be super slow because I had to use the super fast setting to see any noticeable progress.

just slow down it feels weird but its just the speed zombies spawn insane speed if you keep it on high

i agree. epic with 7 factions on hard is impossible with high speed (literally). i have tried 4 games now and half the squares are orange from day 1 and even with 3 fighters and weapons they are a red/orange threat to defend. The game needs to give you half a chance to at least deal with yellow/orange squares for the first 50 days.

I agree that the new speed makes it harder, but I like the new speed a lot, and just end up pausing more after events happen. I am the dominant faction on my 7 faction map on hard. I have the plane ending ready to go but want to do a domination or alliance ending (have killed 2 factions so far).

I love the new speed! The game only seems harder I think because of how fast time goes by thanks to the new speed settings. I enjoy that though, never a dull moment.
