Time Options question
Hey people,
enjoying the game so far, I'm kind of unsure about the time options though. I generally prefer turn-based gaming, but doesn't skipping to the next day make you less efficient at micro-managing your guys? It seems like they will have a lot more down-time like this, since I won't be telling them what to do as soon as they're finished. Am I missing something or is that a valid concern? Thanks!

Hi there,of course skipping days with turn-based gameplay will make them less efficient. For example some mission take 0.9 days etc etc. you should use real-time instead and play with x3. use space for pause or play. Skipping days is more efficient at end-game when you have less zombies arround or none. Also using skipping days at the begining of the game bring more danger at your fort. So I recommend you to play real-time x3.

Hey, could use that inside knowledge again. I don't really get the options when defending against one of those special hordes that run towards your camp. It's like "Defend to our dying breaths" and "Just let our defenders handle it". Defending to our dying breaths pretty much always seems to be the best choice (with the lowest number). Is that correct or are there reasons why I would choose Just Defend with a 7, when there is Dying Breaths with a 5?
Thanks!

From what I understand, picking certain options nets you certain failure results. Letting your defenders handle it the failure result is random, but dying breath guarantees a defender will die if the RNG determines you have lost as opposed to someone being injured or the defenses being overrun or something like that.

You should pick : Let the defenders handle it. just put a soldier for defend,a soldier with high damage, build some traps and also : don't choose defend to our dying breaths.
A day I chose that and I had 5% chance,a survivor died ... Wtf .
you should :
-Let your defenders handle it
-Ask for help to others factions
-Lure the mobs with foods.
-Use traps
-Use bombs
-Use fireworks
etc
check in the laboratory if you got basic traps then craft traps via workshop for 5 materials (make sure you have some builders that farm woods,or trade)

That makes sense, thanks! Kinda hard to tell what is flavour text and what is actually gameplay information sometimes.

yeah but since there are a lot of survivors and random survivors appear, the game doesnt really care if you kill some survivors. Also when you pout a builder on defense, sometimes an option like build a catapult appear(my build is 13) so he did that, because all my soldiers was injuried or busy protecting others side of the fort.I had left the defender handle:40% chance to succeed and build catapult 19% lol

i just set it to max speed and use spacebar to pause when my people finish their jobs.
