Version 1.5 in testing (win) - Workshop & Modding!
I'm adding workshop support to the game, including language packs so you can help translate Rebuild 3 to other languages. Right now I want to make sure I haven't completely broken anything and that the basics are working properly.

Please read: Modding instructions[rebuildgame.com], join the Rebuild 3 Testers group to be able to see the Workshop, and install testing branch[rebuildgame.com] version 1.5 to be able to install them.

If you have suggestions for specific things you'd like to mod in Rebuild 3, please post them here!

Version 1.5.0
create config mods and distribute with the steam workshop
create language mods and distribute with the steam workshop
move radial buttons to top so others don't overlap
new look for MissionMenu and it's back on slower devices
larger fonts option makes results menu easier to read
rearranged config menu options
minor bug fixes I can't remember

Great to know that the game development isn't stuck.
Can't wait to see how the new features is going to be, and hope that they include things that the fans have suggested.
sounds good lets hope it works out good ^^ no offence but the workshop integration has packed some problems in other games ^^

@Goldi What sort of problem has workshop integration caused in other games specifically? I'd like to avoid that obviously!

Nice to see upgrade news, got about 600 hrs played from release... Still miss iconic RTS feature with shift+click to give unit multiple orders. Is it possible to add?

Hi. Great news about modding plans!

I created a config file in mods folder and it seems to work fine. For example, if I change food storage values I can immediately see the changes when I load my game.

However, I still can't get goat_year to work. It didn't work for me back then (when you just introduced this variable) and it didn't change since.
Playing a new game (first campaign mission) created after updating to 1.5 test. Goat_year is set to 5, but kids still take about 90 days to grow up by 1 year. IIRC, values > 90 also do not work.
Am I missing something?

@Nandorianen I think I fixed GOAT_YEAR but if you're still having trouble please report it from the game's config > feedback menu so I can take a look at your logs.

Updated the testing branch to version 1.5.1 with a bunch of bug fixes:

updating mods
installing/removing/updating mods in non-steam environments
added another way to find the hope lab
add where buttons for several plot notice hints
fixed weemen event, get a flamethrower not rocket launcher
fixed berries event, allow researching again
fixed people dying with no notice
fixed incorrect death reasons
fixed roamers blocking quests
fixed spawning mobs on potential quests
fixed disappearing goal in hope
fixed black map after changing graphics quality
fixed right side notices disappearing on load
fixed right side notices overlapping
fixed wonky survivor faces after changing graphics quality
fixed reward for spokane government plotline
fixed (maybe?) survivors disappearing between cities
fixed ghost missions
fixed scrolling text on results
fixed resizing in vancouver
fixed GameConfig settings like GOAT_YEAR
fixed children appearing the wrong age

suggestion: it's far too easy to ally you shouldn't be able to trade every 3 turns trade should only be possible with the merchant units. otherwise you can just keep giving the faction food over and over and reach 100% in no time you don't even need to bother with the meet missions. it's too easy right now.

because i'm really bad at making mods (like really bad) I'm really hope someone makes a Soldier or a Vet (maybe PMC) occupation for the character creator

there's a bug with bath salts. no matter how many you trade for you always end up with 200 than soldiers never use them. in skirmish maps. it's done this to me 3 times now.

would be impossible to change with a simple config file.

also everybody can delete ";"s and change values, so you should have no problems in making config file mods

I have a small "problem" with the "modding" content:
When i download mods by adding it in the workshop, i cannot find them on the harddisc, its not in the ...\com.sarahnorthway.rebuild3\Local Store\mods\ directory, but in #ShjaredObjects are some "SOL-files, impossible to open...

I wantet to have a small look in the mods rom others to "learn" abit from that file configuration - so wher are those files, how can i identify them and how can i look into them? ;)

Can we please make a mod that'll let all grown-ups get married? I mean, if the hole purpose of making children unable to marry is to stop child rapists from popping up in the game and to discourage adolesence sex in real life, then what is the point of making grown-up girls pregnant under suspiscious circumstances? Did they all turn into Saint Mary? Seriously, in my game, Lily Badejo got pregnant without even as much as a boyfriend after she turned 14 and moved with me to the next city.

My idea is: Keep counting ages like how it's normally done and let grown-up children find a relationship and get married once they reach 20! Or, for the liberal hearts out there, we should let grown-up children find romance after they turn 14 but only allow them to get married and get pregnant after they turn 20. How does that sound?
