Cant Get Monkey Blood

I have done everything and even put aside 3 hotels to scavenge and nothing ever pops up to finish the cure quest. Ive tried this on 3 maps with 3 motels and this last one i saved 3 motels on this map and still nothing. Also yes i even got a survivor injured so gretchen dies. Am i missing something here?

Motel you mean? Not claimed, and not scavenged?

I only made some notes from various guides and followed that, so don't really know what's going wrong if you did not claim them.

I did this for 3 maps and nothing and this time i had 3 motels unclaimed and unscavenged and nothing. I didnt even put traps on them just in case.

I doubt it >.> its not a new game and i have no clue why i cant get it. Ill even give you a save of it to prove it lol

I have enough trouble finding my way around old savegames from my own games, I doubt I could do much with yours. :) I believe you though.

But there has been some traffic here lately, people asking questions, so it's not as if no one's playing it.

First time trying was in Chiliwack

I brought a cricket bat with me from a previous map. Circled the 2 motels on the map without looting or killing anything on them (so that factions couldnt take them)

Breezed through the newspaper, cricket bat, mall pet store and trashy romance novel (diary) portions rather quickly with minimal waiting

Gretchen shows up, does her thing, someone dies, gretchen leaves and...

I scavenge the motels, nothing happens

I'm also not getting Evil Cannibals to pop. I've tried several suggested methods. I'm currently about 6 hours into feeding dozens of people to the pig farmers on day 1200 something and it's still not popping (got evil cannibals to pop after another 500 days and 30 more people given to the pig farmers ~ day 1700 with 30 deaths)

I have the same issue with monkey blood, haven't tried getting Evil Cannibals to pop up yet.

I've tried this in 5 different cities now. I have no problem making all the steps happen up through Gretchens arrival, someone dies, Gretchen leaves

But searching the motels never results in the next part of the chain

I'm honestly getting bored of the game at this point because I've just been repeating this same sequence for many hours and I've already seen the other 3 endings to the game

I'm also having the same issue with Monkey blood. I've followed the walkthrough on gamepedia to the letter, completed every step, but scavanging/clearing out the motel does not produce any prompts.

I get the fiction books, then sell the cricket bat, injure a survivor and scavange the mall/check out the pet store, all within a week to 10 days. I get all the necessary prompts for all those actions. Gretchen appears, I keep a couple injured people around so one can die of a bite. 40 days later Gretchen picks a fight and leaves, and the walkthrough says to go to the motel and scavange/attack. I do so, and nothing happens. I send a level 10 scavanger, there is food and tools to scavange, it's not in my fort, and I even make sure in the course of establishing my fort that this motel is never attacked ever, even if it gets a banchee or a horde. But never do I get a promt to check out a hospital.

I've been trying this for a couple months on most all the campaign maps. Am I missing something? I've been trying this for a couple months now, and am rather frustrated.

Just double checked one of the guides, and once Gretchen leaves;
"you can scavenge the Motel, then the Hospital, then the School and you'll recieve the Monkey Blood."

Does this make any difference for people?

@Cerrita - There are no prompts after Getchen leaves the fort. You have to know to do the scavenging.

I think the part of the gamepedia guide where it says "It should be noted that it is NOT necessary to complete all four of the First-stage Events, listed above. Gretchen has appeared in instances where the player has completed only two or three of the First-stage Events." is confusing people. Yes, Gretchen appears after two events but the player has to complete all of the events before she leaves to get the trigger during scavenging the motel. At least that's what happened when I played the game a while ago.

I've done it both ways, Gretchen's time to appearance is random. Several times I had done all 4 events simply because I might as well while waiting for her to appear. It didn't change the fact that no monkey blood existed during the search

I never waited for prompts, never expected any. I followed the steps as listed, did the events, Gretchen comes, gretchen goes, everything in the guide seems to have been accurate right up until: no monkey blood given from scavenging

I've done this at least a dozen times now on a variety of maps, unless someone has some new incite to offer above and beyond what is in the guides, it's simply unexplainably broken, this is effectively 1 of only 4 achievements left for me and quite frankly I'm just about too bored with redoing it so much that I doubt I'll bother unless someone has some breakthrough advice that isn't already in a guide

I don't even feel like grinding out the other 3 achievements (and that's all it would take is grinding) if this is not completable
