Childern equipped on new map instead of equipment
Starting Trail, the kids I had equipped on my two overpowered guys were euipped instead of the stuff I gave them. Is this supposed to happen because they were equipped for most of the map or some kind of bug?

Edit: I think it's a bug, the first time I left via city hall I didn't make sure to equip the kids on other survivors so I guess they came back, and the game remembered that as the start of the Trail map. Now I have the same 4 survivors and the kids even though I left the previous map with just MC and 1 more survivor.

Not sure I understand you right. Kids need to have someone looking after them, you should get a message when they are "equipped" to someone if you don't do it manually.

I unequipped them before leaving the city, but didn't equip them on anybody, then I hit next day, so I guess they gor reequipped and carried over, and the game remembers that first start of the new map no matter what I do later.

You can load old game and equip them on someone else, then leave city with those you want with the gear you want.

Doesn't work, tried several times. Tried leaving alone and messing with other equipment, still get the first setup.

Delete the next town, before/while you leave, then you get new one.

Haven't played/moved on for a bit, but there should be the option somewhere on the map. Does clicking on the next town load it right away?

Asks the difficulty and city name I think, I'll try doing stuff to that.

Edit: There was a Delete button before name and difficulty, that did the trick, thanks.

If you unequip a child then proceed to continue playing, the first action the game takes is equipping the child to someone before anything else gets processed

Children must have a guardian. If you want to take them off the people you are bringing with you, they must be assigned to someone else or they get reattached automatically

There's even a message pop up for when it happens that states clearly that you assigned the kid to be watched over

You can use that trick to redo any city for some of the achievements too. Just delete it and redo it. Or if you want to change who starts there you delete it, reload the previous city and bring a new team
