Inverted Y axis controls???
Is it really possible to NOT put inverted Y axis control in essentially a flying game? I imagine there would be some pretty angry pilots if that were the case. If I am totally off base and its in there please let me know because i'm dying to get my hands on this game but feel totally cheated dumping $15 into a game that is unplayable because of a simple fix that should have been a common sense thing.

Give them some time.
Remember, this is early access.
This is still Alpha stages of testing.
It's going to be a rough ride.

I'm sorry for bad experience you have. If it's just inverted control, it's much easier to implemented in option than full controller rebinding. So I can make it be there in coming updates.

BTW, at this moment you can toggle Y invert by
- Open the game's console by pressing (~) key
- Type 'InvertMouse', then press enter
- close the console by pressing (~) key again

This should make you able to play this game for now. This will be in the game option GUI in coming updates. Thank you very much for supporting this game.

Sorry I tried the quick fix and it didn't work for me. Please contact me by PM when this fix is available as I would love to play and recommend this title to my clan. Until then I can only check these forums in hope that someday I may be able to play your title.

Sorry I find this as unacceptable as providing me a bike with no wheels. Or a car that goes right when you turn left. Inverted Y axis is standard flight control not the other way around. Show me one pilot in RL that has to push up to ascend and down to descend....

I'm sorry that the solution is not working. Please tell me are you using PC or Mac? Is the console windows even open at all? Or you have enter the command into the console successfully but nothing happened?

BTW, please add me on Skype: GameCrafterteam. If your problem can be fixed with some remote access, I'm very glad to do so.

As I said, it is early access. Of course the bike doesn't have wheels. It's still being built.

As for inverted Y axis, this is a flying mecha game. Mecha games don't normally have inverted Y axis camera. Show me one pilot in RL that has ever piloted a mecha.
If you want the inverted Y axis, try out the M5 in survival mode while you wait for pawee30948 to help you. You can transform into a jet. Press X to transform. The controls are changed, and you get an inverted Y axis.

This times 100. I said this in the other thread as well, but apparently your "35 years of gaming experience playing every mech game I could find" hasn't lead you to the conclusion that inverted controls wouldn't be common in a non-aeroplane multidirectional off-the-rails mech game.

But for the record, no one else has brought this up before. Maybe it's because most people don't use a controller. Or maybe most people are more comfortable with aiming that goes exactly where you point it. I don't know. But people are riding this bike somehow. You could try learning to adapt before making outlandish demands. But no, again, Pawee is being very kind and trying to accomodate everyone even if there's a sense of unwarranted entitlement.

Outlandish demands?? Your sense of ego is obviously inflated. I may be the first to point this out, but I guarantee I won't be the last or most outspoken of the bunch if it's not in there. As everyone keeps pointing out it's an Alpha build so not many people are ready to drop cash on it. I on the other hand love this type of game so I was excited to put my hands on it. Just very disappointed that my first experience was outright frustration. It's like reading upside down against a timeframe. Very awkward.

As for learning to adapt, why should I? If this was the intended control scheme and I was aware before the purchase I would have looked elsewhere. I do have the right to choose. It was my money. And for the record it's not the money but the principal of the whole thing.

Now see thats strange to me as well. So you are saying that you are in normal mode while flying a mecha but inverted while flying a jet? And i'm the only one that finds that disorienting? Ok maybe I just thought this was something different than it is and I should just eat the $15 and move on...

Oh and thanks for the tip but if I just wanted to fly I would load up Assault Horizons...

Looks awesome though. Glad you guys get to enjoy it...

It is pretty disorienting, but they're working on making it not so.
You should stick around. Like I keep saying, this is still an alpha build. Things change a lot.
They're probably going to put in an option to customize controls and the camera x/y axis in the next update.
