V engages 1st-person mode.
1-6 allows you to select a weapon.
Also, mouse button 3 (usually clicking the scroll wheel/middle mouse button) allows you to melee.
That's pretty much it. The campaign only gives you the utter basics unfortunately.
I highly recommend using melee whenever possible. It does crazy damage, and can destroy missiles if you time it right (or spam it indiscriminately).
I went dual melee in armored core 4A.
IT'S THE BEST FEELING EVER LANDING A HIT!
Oh and btw the q button does zoom in and out, but its actually a a little more complicated than that- it controls the locking mode, and it shifts between 3 settings.
On full, its a strong zoom that also takes full control of your camera, always keeping it on your target, and if you kill your target it will snap to a new one, even if it has to spin you around to do it.
On semi mode its similar but with a weaker zoom.
On Off mode, you can still lock on to targets, but you can still fully control your camera, so you are responsible for keeping yourself pointed vaguely towards your locked target. If you turn too far away the lock will end. And if you kill your target, it will still grab you a new lock automatically, but only if there's someone else right in front of you- it won't spin you around at all to do it.
From how many words I just used this might sound really complicated, but its actually plays pretty smoothly; I think its one of the better lock-on-target systems I have seen in a video game.
I figured that much out while playing. I like jumping between Semi and Off.
OMG
Don't tell my friends ;)
I need to get used to Bullet Time though. It's a great thing I keep forgetting about.
Not only missile, you can use your blade to intercept machine gun / cannon / railgun bullet too. But non explosive machine gun bullet (20 mm) will be harder to intercepted because it's not explode, its trajectory course will divert a little bit due to your blade's heat.
I am very excited about your game!
Or move melee to F key, and move flares to G key.
