Great Game, But a Lot of Mech Anime References

It's a good game, but holy crap there are a lot of things taken from other mech animes and other related media out there.

- First off, "Red Comet" is from Gundam
- Funnels are also from Gundam, and I'm pretty sure they were named after their original shape
- The S37 Terminator and S47 Berkut are from Muv Luv, which based them off of real fighter jets
- Yukon Base was also in Muv Luv
- Mithril as in the PMC is from Full Metal Panic
- Mass Drivers are from Gundam
- The Red Glowing System is pretty much the Trans-Am System from Gundam 00

There's probably more I'm missing but this is all I can remember. I'll probably add to it later. I'm not angry or anything about this, I just wanted to point these out.

Aside from that it's still a great game, I don't hold it agianst the game's creators, and I don't dislike the game for it, just kinda wished some things were a little more original...

AWAC might come from EWAC too.( EWAC from Gundam Unicorn )

But, who cares? This game is fun and I don't care about these Anime Reference.

I'm lovin it. ^^

You sir...you watch too many anime :p

BTW It's a homage to all the best mech anime out there,it's fine as long they're not stealing any ship/mech designs (exactly 100% copy)

And as for AWAC...it's real,we have it in real life.

Mass drivers are an actually proposed method of space launch. That's not a reference to anything. Given the other references I'll accept Yukon base possibly being a reference, but that seems like a pretty natural thing to call a base in Alaska to me.

The red glowing is from BEFORE Trans Am and was first used in Gundam Zeta. The Bio-sensor would cause the Gundam Zeta to glow red when its pilot was mentally focused enough (Usually when mad), considering how it activates in the scene it's used I think it's a reference to that, especially since all the other references are to UC Gundam. Considering Mirai and Zavtra are obviously newtype use Battleframes (For lack of a better name for their powers that's what I'm calling them since it's obviously a Gundam reference anyway.) the whole thing felt perfectly natural to me.

You also missed the fact that they call Mirai White Devil, which has been used to refer to gundams at least a few times that I've seen, and that Mirai, Yuliana and possibly Andei are all very obviously newtypes.
