Hi //Dewm,
Project Nimbus Complete Edition is the remastered version of the original Project Nimbus. It includes all 4 campaign acts as well as the Survival Mode. In exchange for the alien mode it includes Warfront Mode, which is an arcade style mode in which you can rise in rank, upgrade mechs and unlock new mission modes and mechs.
Hi brianng313,
we will definitely consider adding this system in the future. For now you have two other options:
1. You can reassign the previous and next weapon selection to keyboard keys of your liking.
2. You can use the weapon wheel (default key is tab) and mouse movement to select weapons.
I hope that helps.
Also can you expand the warfront mode turn it like a campaign with story and dialogue, i have played it for a while and i'm impressed how fun it was climbing up the ranks and unlocking new mechs it was really awesome!. If i may add it would be very interesting if there is some kind of perk tree and the mission select screen is look like a map, as the war progress your faction territory grows larger. I know you said that there will be no mecha customization but it will nice if we have one.
The default mouse sensitivity is too high, other than that the game is a good mecha experience keep up the fine work.
Complete edition is a major improvement in every way and it is right now the number 1 game on PC i go to, if i want the "gundam experience."
I want to start with giving feedback on the campaign because it's obviously where the most effort went into.
The story is pretty nice and fits well into a mecha story, however some of the story telling is pretty strange and feels a little random. For example the transition when we are fighting the AI, feels like it doesn't have enough cutscenes, to explain the AI situation better.
It is very abrupt and almost feels random. Though I understand that there technically was a buildup to the AIs earlier it still didn't quite get enough screen time for the player to understand exactly what's happening.
The other part of the story that feels like it needed more cutscenes was the second duel with Yuliana (Pax Americana part 2.) The last cutscene seems like something is missing. Though it is quite obvious what happens to those who was paying close attention, I think the last cutscene could've needeed a little more dialouge between Yuliana and Mirai.
Now I know it sounds like I'm tearing apart the story but that's because i like it and I just know it can be done even better. Now the comatose chapter is ehhh sorry not very good.
But why is the comatose chapter not very good? It is easy to say something is bad or good but let me explain it in detail why the comatose chapter is bad.
I understand the comatose chapter it makes sense with the story and I understand what it is trying to say in the story. However the problem is that it's not a cutscene.
Because it is not a cutscene, the player has to do things in the comatose and in order to maintain the players interest you literally need something interesting to happen every 10-15 seconds in the comatose chapter or the player gets bored or anoyed. And since there is not much interesting things happening the player easily gets bored playing something that could've just been a cutscene instead.
I think the only way the comatose could've been good is if A LOT of effort went into it. Now I understand it is still an indie game but I do think the best option would've been to just have made a cutscene with character drawings instead.
Maybe it was an experiment to test yourselves but now you know that if you want to make something again like comatose then you'll need a lot more practice. I don't think it helps the game or the story very much.
So that's it for those chapters, but I would also like to know if I'm stupid? Because I don't remember any cutscenes explaining the 5th generation Mirai mech. It just kind of appeared? I suppose maybe it was hard to get a cutscenes made since you were the most focused on gameplay which is good because the gameplay is awesome! But the fact that Yulliana's 5th gen mech got a cutscene and Mirai's didn't is very strange to me.
My last critic/feedback on the story would be that I think you should've instead tried to use comic/manga panels for cutscenes instead or something like 5th gen Yulliana ctuscene. I think it would've been easier and looked a lot better since the game already appeals to the mecha anime crowd.
I think having important cutscenes be comic/manga graphics would've made it all much more effective. The mission briefing were still good though. So basically what I'm saying is that using both mission briefing cutscenes and comic/manga cutscenes works the best for the story in my opinion.
Oh yeah and of course the music is awesome and I hope you guys can keep on having awesome music in your games.
Aside from that everything else in the story seemed pretty well put together and i enjoyed most of it. There are a lot of things that are done very well in the story except those things i mentioned.
Now to gameplay.
The gameplay has been improved A LOT and its REALLY good now, even though it was already good it became even better. However t I personally miss the tiny screen that zooms in on your target a little bit. But it is undeniable that ALL gameplay became much more fluent. The gameplay of this game is the best part of the game in my opinion, but there are still some things that gets in the way it's maximum potential. I'm going to list some of the problems.
"Funnels ready" "Decoy is ready"
Having to hear this over and over again is anoying on ALL battleframe and I really wish there would be a way to turn off the anouncment of weapons being ready. Alternativly instead you could also just have low volume sound effects for each weapon instead or something.
Uh yeah that's all for combat lol. I hope in t he future you get to expand on it and create more interesting things with the combat in the game because the fundementals of the gameplay is just REALLY good and I hope to see it improved even more.
The last thing I have to say is that I'm actually a little dissapointed that we still didnt get the option to make our own custom battleframes. Now warfront is a step in the right direction. But I think a lot of people who buy this game tend to be people who wish there was an armored core game on PC and armored core is pretty well known for having a lot of customizing.
Though I am very happy that you tried to make a way for customization. And I really hope that in a sequel we get to see a lot of battleframe customizing.
Now as you can clearly see I have a lot to say but I think this is all I will say for now or my post gets too long. I'm really happy with how this game is turning out and I hope this will become the number 1 mecha franchise on PC. If you ever want to hear more feedback from me, you can ask away I suppose.
I can be keep on talking forever about this game but i think it is because I just like it that much.
Kinda like how most FPS games have the grenades on a separate button so you can keep shooting after throwing one.
1. Option to bind weapon to key number like 1,2,3,4 etcs on keyboard.
2. Bullet time like old version, I really like this system but i dont find it on CE. hope you add this system back.
That's all keep up the good work!
Keep up good work guys.
1. Bring back the cockpit view for all suits
2. There are different mechs available in Warfront, not available in survival. For example, M3S Uber Striker with the sick red coat, and M3S (Ingrid custom) which sports dual minigum and is AWESOME. Please bring them to survival.
I'm sad raxus since sandbox mode was declared as coming at some point yet it's not here ;_;
Don't get me wrong, I love the game and warfront is a dope mode, but sandbox :/
