Eden Crafters

Feedback on Demo
Environment quite depressing and empty. I like game mecanics, but seriously need to refine the storage, alowing to feed directly base stock for example. I hate the wave wipeout and the "will resist/will not resist" mecanics. No go for me. I hate to have time pressure in a building game, I also hate to lose my time in useless traveling ingame. Hope this is useful.

Depressing environment, like in planet crafter. This is our goal to make it better and when i stopped the demo, i had builds, trees and green. The planet was not depressing anymore.

your view of a new eden it looks like a industrial area?

Nice base game, but it seems to have an identity crisis.

What is this game about? Survival?

Survival is way too easy. Other games put you in fear, every time you leave you base, at least until you can create food/water/oxygen easier.

Terraforming or leaving the planet? Make a decision, these are way different goals.

Manufacturing?

The machines (so far) take FAR too few resources to require complicated manufacturing.

The developers should force you to create absolutely gigantic structures to terraform or escape, taking thousands of iron and copper plates, computers, rotors etc.

I hope this game was just demoed way to early, as a proof of concept, with far more obstacles put in our way once the real game is closer to release.

as a demo not bad the giant wave that keeps coming back is annoying, spitters need work with load balancing, all resources need a node and or pay area, disappointed i cant jump in the ship and leave the planet provided i have the energy cells to make it to a nearby planet with no waves, other than that good start. i like that satifactory, planet crafter crossover.

The only things ive found that the wave wipes, are the windmills/turbines, i didnt build the solar panels. and i place them close to the base (inside each other) for easy fast deconstruction when the wave approaches. But even so, once you reach early auto crafting, the parts to replace them are easily and readily accessible (imo)

I feel ppl are having a different experience to me the game would only let me build 2 items the habitat and a workbench after that nothing if that is just the demo then it's not grabbing my attention even planet crafter had more in the early demo. What i did see ran very smoothly obv needs more work being EA. For now i will keep a eye out see how it develops maybe come back change my review.

You're definitely missing something. You need to gather some pieces of Iron Ore, Copper Ore, Quartz, and Boron Ore that are scattered around on the ground. Take them to the Workbench and press the letter E when pointing at the Workbench. This will give you the ability to manually turn the Ore into Ingots.

As you acquire various resources, it'll then open up more things that you can build. Building Iron Ingots in the Workbench should open up Iron Plates. Iron Plates should open up Conveyors, etc. It's a progression system...

I get notifications on more things I can build after building/crafting a new thing; remembering that after the workbench, I should build an electrical panel, but needed to craft parts for it (at the workbench). Could you (Janekburn) have accidentally turned off the tutorial? I noticed the checkbox is really tiny and hard to see whether it's checked or not.

That's the thing i have opened up the workbench and processed the ores for bars and quartz it tells me to create power but to make it i need filters but i'm not getting any more build options to make these filters or any other stuff that, i've made the iron plates and so on but like i said no more progression. Maybe i reinstall it or varify the files see how that goes cos it's the kind of game i enjoy playing would like to see more of it.

You probably need to create an Electric Panel and for that you need some Cable, made with Copper but you don't need to create filters for now.

I've been back and took another look thanks to the previous posts pointing me in the right direction, i hold my hands up i was stupid for a moment and saw my mistake although for a brief time i still couldn't see what but now kind of looks obvious. I will defo play a bit more and then change my review to reflect my experience, altho i suffered with motion sickness and had to stop playing till the next day i notice the slider only goes upto 84 i usually have to set it between 100 and 111 otherwise i get sick really quick this i not the only game i get this issue with it's certainly the downside for playing ultrawide for me and a real pain in the behind. I hope the FOV settings will be reviewed it will end up being a deciding factor this is not the first and im sure it won't be the last.
