Resource nodes cannot be mined
On the small island in the Ocean World four nodes on the northern tip cannot be mined. The miner does not recognize them.

Ah, that's because you're too far away. If you get the character closer AND use the drone it'll work. You have to be close enough that the drone can fly -over- the resource, not just near it.

you need higher tier drill

The gems need T2 miner or higher, Uranium needs T3 miner.

Nope. These are lower resource nodes like cobalt and gold. I was able to mine them before in a previous start. There are two gold nodes in the area. One can be mined, the other cannot. i also tried a T2 miner and got the same thing. I know about the Uranium node. That was not the problem.

You say it worked before? I'm really surprised to see you using the unpowered basic miner this late in the game. I would not have expected that to work on cobalt and gold.

I screwed up my first attempt beyond saving, started over and when I went back to this part of the island for gold I discovered one of the two gold nodes could not be mined.

I had a similar issue where I was adjusting the terrain and 90% of the veins moved to "fall" to the adjusted terrain level, 2 of them stayed floating in the air but were still mineable but one of them though it existed visually could no longer be targeted (to display the name) or built upon with any of the miner tiers.

My suspicion is if the node that is set by the X,Y, and Z co-ordinates in the game do not match the image location that represents the resource node to the player the miner will not connect.

In my case that node remained inaccessible by drone or by foot even if I was standing right beside it. It simply just ceased to exist other then the image/object being there

Was it graphene or phosphorous? They don't drop like the others and if you place a building which encroaches and then remove it, they can exhibit this ghost behavior.
I can no longer tell as I can't even hover over the name of it, visually it looks like it could be Graphene but can't verify in any form really
