Not easy when you want more than one to automate production of a part.
Also annoying when your looking for graphite and all you find is Basalt.
Perhaps in this case it would be a nice addition to be able to add our own map markers.
If you mean the blue icon, that's not a marker that's just temporary so it wouldn't be helpful to me. We need a way to actually create a permanent marker and label it.
Interesting, can you take a screenshot? I didn't specify a map when I started the game I just kept clicking continue until the game loaded. When I right-click when I have the map open only a blue icon appears where I click but then goes away when I regular click the map again. As stated before there's no way to label a marker or make markers for anything.
The update I'm looking for would give us the option to make multiple markers and label them.
You craft these. 1 Antenna and 1 circuit board. They show on the hud in different colors. I just plunk one down when exploring and I run across something useful. At least you know which direction to go if you remember what color is what.
Edit. The marker shows up on the map as well. No way to add text that I know of.
2) Graphite is very rare, so rare it doesn't have biome, doesn't show up on radar, and can only be seen when standing next to it.
3) Phosphorus? Good luck, It's one of those, don't show up on radar, only found laying on the ground in chunks worth one piece, resources.
Yeah I totally didn't get that some of you were referring to the beacon. I see these as being more useful for marking very large general areas like bases or research facilities that we've crafted because of the materials required and because you can only use a color to distinguish it.
To mark resource nodes and caves we need a way to create custom markers on the map.
