There I had not made the cargo ship yet, didn't really ever need it but I made it now, and a landing pad and a recall button.
It works the same as my ocean world save used to. Whichever ship I use last , either recall button on either landing pad will always recall that ship.
Even if it has to land on top of the other ship.
Confusing for a solution or workaround, seems there's more to the mystery.
Just a final note, I never found my original ship on the ocean world save.
Although I did notice that once the cargo ship was made it is labeled on the map as T1, the other ship, which used to be shown and was just named Ship, doesn't show on the map anymore.
Poof... Gone ,,, Guess I'll go look again.
The cargo ship and my new regular ship still operate the same for me, the recall button recalls the last ship I was in. Maybe the dev can explain whats going on.
Last note. Apparently you can't delete either one of the ships after you build them.
Also , even if you build a concrete cage around a ship it will materialize on the landing platform when the recall is issued. You can't fly it out of the cage but you can recall it out of the cage. Spooky..
Fully agreed that the Recall Station thing needs to present us with the option for which ship we want to recall. Something for a future update!
This thing also is important for recovering ships that are stuck or lost somewhere, like I bet if I jumped out of it in the air over Aetheria, and managed to make it back to land via jetpack, it would recover my lost ship... maybe. Definitely not going to test that until I have a 2nd ship ready... buuuuuut if not, if the default ship gets deleted by losing it down the mists... that MIGHT leave our Cargo ship as the default one summoned by the Recall Station! Hmm... something new to test...
I agree totally
