Character freezes if too close to a large rock deposit

How do I get my character free if it has gotten too close to a large rock deposit? Sometimes going out and back in has seemed to work - at times it takes 5 minutes or better to free the character and I'm never certain what it was that did it. I have tried crouching, jumping and walking in all directions plus a combination of the above to move the character.

That seems to be related to an issue where I’ve gotten stuck inside machinery. The early access could definitely use a “Stuck” key like Planet Crafter has.

There is a respawn key if you hit ESC, then "respawn". It might send you back to the closest base tho, like when you die, not sure.
