questions about teraforming the planets

do u have to remove every bit of radiation? heats? cold? do u have to clean every square inch of water? do u have to grow grass and trees of all land mass? game doesnt really explain this enough imo

You dont have to as of yet, there is no end game yet. But no reason you cant if you want to.

How we did it: My husband and I play co-op and we managed to manufacture and put into warehouses (10 to be exact) every component necessary to create every machine and item you can create from the build menu (Q key in game) Once we had that we could drop climate regulators, geothermal power plants and area fertilizers wherever we needed them. The only real headache was running all the water pipes for all the area fertilizers. We have some loooong pipes :)

You cant move buildings, you have to knock down and rebuild or just build more, if you terraform like the achievement @wafisher has managed, resources wont be an issue to have towns all over the planet!

naa not years just a week

It took us 140 hours of combined co-op play to do the complete terraforming. Since it was our first play through we probably spent more time than necessary on some of the manufacturing as well as having to try to run pipes and conveyors through the recent bugs. (Thank god they fixed those!)
