I found a fix by googling. If you're playing dx11 or dx12, type this in the launch option on your "Chained Together" on your steam library:
-dx11 or -dx12 whichever you want to launch as, pick one of those in your desired launch option when you launch chained together on steam.

From your Steam Library>Chained Together>Right Click>Options>General>Under Launch Options>Type -dx11 or -dx12 >Launch Chained Together at dx11 or dx12 depending on what you typed in the Launch Options
