Game constantly crash on launch
"The UE-ChainedTogether Game has crashed and will close
Fatal error ! "

I get this message after 5 seconds of launching the game. I tried everything i could find online but still does not work, is anybody experiencing this as well? Any hellp would be greatly appreciated as i've spent 40 minutes of just watching my game crash on start up:steamsad:

Methods i tried;
- Lowered graphics to both all low and all medium settings ( i have a decent PC so graphic performance should not be an issue for me)
- Tried to launch the game with -dx11 and -dx12 but both does not work
- Reinstalled game
- Updated graphics driver
- Restarted Game
- Restarted Computer
- Disabled all overlays / background software
- Disconnected my 2nd monitor
- Reinstalled the C++ Redistributable from Game Folder
- Launch game as admin

edit 1: I have a decent computer so i dont think performance was an issue for me

I'm also having this issue! The game doesn't open for me by launching it from the typical way.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ChainedTogether\ChainedTogether\Binaries\Win64
and right click on ChainedTogether-Win64-Shipping.exe as run as administrator and it works. At least for me!

Though this pop up comes up with it and says: WARNING: Known issues with graphics driver
"The installed version of the NVIDIA graphics driver has known issues in D3D12.
Please install the latest driver version or switch to a different rendering API.

Would you like to visit the following URL to download the driver?

https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/drivers/"

I tried to update it but it doesn't work. Every time I want to play I have to do it this way. When I try to launch the game normally it doesn't work. The ueprereqsetup_x64.exe has a installing fatal error every time and the Microsoft Viisual C++ Redistributable won't install either. I don't do what else to do??

I have the same problem, game freezes a few seconds after I launch a solo game. I´m gonna try lowering the monitor framerate to 60 and hope that helps..

Same problem here but i got the message on the loading screen after picking character, and the message goes like this:

*The UE-ChainedTogether Game has crashed and will close*
LowLevelFatalError [File:D:\build\++UE5\Sync\Engine\Source\Runtime\RenderCore\Private\Rendering\Thread.cpp] [Line : 1272] GameThread timed out waiting for RenderThread after 120.00 secs

I have the same problem but I think I found the cause. It's because I'm using a laptop that is below the minimum required specs. CPU must be at a minimum or i5-6th gen or R5 1600x. Sad.

It could be so many things ... possible your CPU is outdated - Graphics is not the latest version - DirectX is outdated (lower than 11 or 12) and more.

You could try running the game again but in the lowest possible graphical settings possible and change your resolution to 1280 x (whatever option)... Also make sure you are not connected to a monitor if your on Laptop... Ensure that only 1 display is up if anything.

There's a system requirements website that will tell you if you can run a game or not:

I had the same issue, but i managed to fix it - maybe that's a solution to your crash too: Disconnect other controller/input devices from your PC. Try with just mouse, keyboard and xbox controller.
In my case it was my sim rig causing trouble, because i have a wheel and pedals as additional game controller, but apparently game does not like this at all. Especially if those are some exotic ones.
