Remote play?

Thinking about getting this to play with a friend, it says remote play, does it work well? If I play with Controller and my friend keyboard?

The controller will not work on mine either. Mouse and keyboard work fine. And the controller works in other games, but for some reason it won't register on this one.

I am at end of game and tried to set up a controller to use on driving the horse and carriage, and I cannot get it to work right either, I would use keyboard but I do not know how to get the camera to follow the direction of the road

just so others know i was able to get remote play working tn, have steam controller input enabled, dont know if that matters, but my buddy was only able to use controller as the invited party while i was able to use either controller or kbm

In order to remote play together, you must Shift tab in the game, and then choose remote play together, after that you can send an invite to your friend. After you adjust the remotes under the same option, then you can play remote play together
