Because my wife only play with joystick.. any problem?

I did not found controller support inside the game.

The only options in "Controls" are:

Axes: Invert X/Y Axis

X/Y sensitivity

start a game and it will ask what controls everyone is using. player 1 can be mouse and keyboard, every other player is controller (which includes a joystick)

genuinely curious how your wife only games with joystick, I use one for flight sims and space stuff, but cant imagine using them to play a 3rd person platformer.

No, no problem at all. Sorry if my confusion came off as rude, didn't mean it like that.
I like playing with joystick myself but only games where its actually nice to use one.
It's just that you would need 2 joystick to play, one for moving and one for the camera.
Since that is very impractical i would suggest using a normal controller with its 2 analog sticks making it a lot easier.
You can't operate the main menu with controller and also cant change any key binding but once you are ingame you can use the controller 100%, i did it myself

When we play in local multiplayer mode, all 3 friends MUST use a joystick. The game doesn't even allow they to use a keyboard, so... it's not something that's "insane" to think about (at least for the developer)

You sure you know what a joystick is? Because you can just use a controller
A controller like xbox or ps
A joystick is to control a helicopter or plane and only has 1 analog stick
you cant even play this game with only 1 analog stick

Pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ simple. Tell me how to go slower without tapping w as quick as you can, then tell me how that is better than slightly pushing the joystick forward where it actually moves at a consistent slow speed.

I couldn't get it to work with my PS4 Controller. But if you use the steam controller layout function, steam can basically map your controller buttons to the keyboard keys.
