A little feedback
Hi, I love this game with great potential! The Condemned's inspiration is obvious and it's a very good thing in my opinion. I give you my feedback on this early access and my wishlist.

- There is a strange thing about sprint/turning back. Hard to explain but the sprint key seems to affect left and right directions. And when the player begins a sprint, the camera take a step left or right with the accelerating of the sprint this is very disturbing. I don't know if you'll see what I mean.
To avoid it, it seems to sprint forward only even if the environment force you to change of direction.
I said : it's hard to explain

- Even with the maximum FOV, the view is too close in combats. We are not able to see creatures all the times in the melees.
Also, the weapons feeling (melee and fire) is a little disappointing. Maybe loudest sound effects could improve that.

- The open world is great, desert London under the rain and thunder. But there's a lack of atmospheric music out there. That's very important to add at least one!
In a global way, the game needs to have more atmospheric themes.
And the open world is beautiful... but there is no interaction with it, this appears to be empty because of that.

- maybe more checkpoints could be good. I defeated the speaker in the parliament, and I quit the game. Now I need to defeat the speaker again because there was no checkpoint after defeating this boss.

- the inventory needs to be more beautiful

- The game runs perfectly on my computer, but sometimes... I'll tell you that in french because I don't know how you say : "au lancement des parties, parfois l'affichage se fait très tardivement pour les environnements".

- Eventually, a french translation could be great!

And that's it for the moment. Congratulations for Beyond Hanwell, I think it's a great game with great potential. And if you are a solo dev so it's incredible!

On the sprinting problem you are exactly right

Yes, isn't it?
In fact, I think it's the quick back key the real problem

Thank you for the feedback! I'll look into the sprinting a little closer, I have noticed myself that there seems to be a strange drift when sprinting, but you can turn off "Quick Turn" in the settings, maybe this is the issue?

French is actually the only language other than English that is currently implemented, albeit inaccessible in the retail build, only half has been translated so far because it was my test language when I was laying the foundations for localisation. As soon as I have a full word count I'll start approaching firms for full localisation. I want to wait until all content is in because it will be very expensive on the count of all the notes and text around the world, but it is something I absolutely want for the game eventually.

I'll try to turn off quick turn so.

For the atmospheric musics, the theme in the eastforge factory is great for example! If the game could have this kind of musics in its open world that would be very nice!

Hi! I found a tip for the sprint : using only the mouse for the directions and the problem is solved.

However, tonight there were so many bugs. Two locations that I only discovered and mentioned as cleared immediatly. But I've never been here before on this save! So frustrating. The bowling and the bunker were the locations.

And the main menu stucked for two times, impossible to continue or quit. Need to alt+F4!

Other things, I can imagine that they will fixed on the final version : the exploration is not very rewarding in the open world. Tonight I walked a few minutes to discover an abandoned chapel in a sort of park. But there was nothing at all in this chapel! Frustrating...

The cleared markers are getting on my nerves now! Sorry they keep bugging, I'll put a bit of time into them tonight.

The chapel was supposed to be done long ago but I just ran out of time. It's on my list, it'll have something in there soon. Thanks for the feedback!

Just looked into it, did you start a new game? I wasn't clearing the cleared list when starting a new game from scratch, so if you started a new game during the same instance of the game it will have still been on the list from the previous game.

Very silly mistake on my part I'm sorry about that! I've fixed it now though.

Hi there! I was surprised the game already released, out of the early access. Maybe it was too soon, because I can see no real improvement between my version of the september the 10th and the 1.0 version.
There are always display bugs, and none of my wishes was included in this version. I'm a little sad, and the main menu freeze at my first start... what the?
