Proton 7 stops this happening but will cause a fatal error when you enter Westminster. I'd say, if you would find the dialogue that pops up on every launch too annoying, it would be better to hold off until I can get Linux and SteamOS figured out, if you don't mind the slight inconvenience it runs fine after that.
Recommended settings on Steam Deck:
All Settings: Medium
Global Dynamic Illumination: High
Temporal Super Resolution: 70 (Alternatively you can use FSR on the Ultra Performance mode.)
I plan on building a native Linux version for full Steam Deck support, I tried this today but I am using some plugins that need building against Linux as well, it's going to take me a bit of time to figure out how to get it to actually build.
Thanks for reaching out, I hope I can get it fully Steam Deck supported soon!
Best of luck, my friend
Your game looks excellent and I'm excited to eventually give it a go. :) Again, thanks for being so responsive. Be careful not to get burnt out!
Did you try the latest Proton GE? If not, that might be the ticket. Snag ProtonUp-QT from the store via Desktop mode.
Thanks for the reply 👍🏻 I've got ProtonUp-QT already and have been using experimental for most of the games that need a little tweek to get running. I haven't tried the latest GE though so I'll give it a go and let you know. On another page someone recommended verifying the install data in case a file was missing and then recommended basically trying every version of Proton until it runs. I guess it's just going to be trial and error until the developer make the game more stable 😕
Just a heads up but doing what you said and using the latest GE Version worked! 😃 Thanks so much for the advice 👍🏻
