A dream come true!
I am a huge fan of classic Zelda games since the very first time I played Link´s Awakening and I´ve been waiting for a classic Zelda game since the release of the Oracle games. This games looks like it´s going to bring back all those old memories and its classic gameplay/style. We can´t have Nintendo´s games on Steam, but this fixes the problem somehow.

This game looks so similar to Link's Awakening it's ridiculous. Hopefully it plays as well because to this day that is one of the best Zelda games.

It's probably me but I sometimes feel like people see ALTTP and LA as the Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess of 2D Zelda games.

I think Link´s Awakening is the peak of 2D Zelda games. ALTTP is great (and at its time it was awesome) but I think its a bit outdated (the alternative worlds make it a bit more complicated).

I still find that the Oracle games and Minish Cap to have a refined control but LA has a unique feel to it.

Both cozy and cute but with a slight melancholy.

What's with Zelda's direct sequels to be somehow darker than their predecessors? I mean Adventure of Link, Link's Awakening, Majora's Mask, Phantom Hourglass and Tears of the Kingdom are all darker in some extent.

Tbh, back in the day, making characters or stories "dark" became a "cool" thing. Back then Nintendo was considered a childish brand and Sony made darker and more adult content so many illuminated ones thought it was a good idea to turn tradicional sagas into something darker (Sonic with its Shadow spin-off and many other platformers, rpgs). It was a stupid trend but it also helped creating some rare gems as the ones you mentioned above.
