is that the version you think should work? if yes, failed here - but I am a good costumer and try also at 2nd PC
I check also updates for this game : still show the one from July only.
Deinstall, server restart, install = same result = no server, quit
Also the view, servers don't show any Frontline 1942 server, but around 10 ? others ...

added: 2nd PC had stand from the morning test, but also same : start = no server
seam not to update also

added: so far I can see that the update from 4.9. had a problem,

just ans answer, that my data will be forwarded to developers

remember how much player there was (1.000 ? so far in ranking) the response here is very low

I am on Ubuntu 24.04 and just updated, not sure if it happened just after then
But also after Update ProtonVPN did not install normal,

Villyman : what system you use, or what did you maybe upgrade about 3-5 days before ?

Im on MACOS, frotnline update 5 days before.

I7-4790 (Mai 2014), 32 GB, Nvidia GTX 1660 super

this morning for me remove game, restart PC, install game new
same result = no server = quit

check updates:
same App ID,
Build ID : 15591333

hey other hit gamer, please also check right-klick on game library left, and properties, updates
and post the Build ID and update date/time

I will check now other games from them, they have a lot similar - see if there is a similar problem

Report testing other games from them as of server there:
* Code of war - works, but mouse (turn around) so bad - but started
* Striker Zone (very similar to Code of War, same movement problem) but started = run
* Grand Tanks : WW2 ... also seam to be same engine, and most elements remember) but started = run
* WWR : World of Warfare Robots, install but not start

So I see now similar game from THEM to be able to get a hint about the failure.
As of Linux based and 'free to play' I see no other options yet.

but the View, Server view never show other server than the list I see always, so that is not a help about server we use.

So far I know now where 'Guestxxx' comes from = default setting, counted up, if not own name set.

As they seam to react only on Email to support : I just send 4 mails with the ongoing posts here, plus 2 screenshots from now about no server and my update status.

I advice you other sad gamer, to report at least once a day after check update and test game via mail also.

I have following advice before all gamer found another game and yoou loose more money :


Are you sure that the server are online and reachable ?


1. set the game version from before 4.9. - so we can game and you get some silence.

So far I didn't see any bugs, that should not be that problem until you found out the failure since 4.9.


2. Isn't there a beta version what some of us might check AFTER you tell us a new version (in Beta) might work ?


Aren't you yourself testing the game after change code ?

What did you change that has to do with the server connection ?

Can you start the game and connect to a server ?? Would be interesting as then is hope.


3. After at least 3 main gamer confirm the Final Beta version you might take it for updates ?


I have no problem to use 30 minutes after your information to check on beta again.

I was just digging around,
primary searching for an older full set of files before 4.9. -
failed yet for Linux
but for Microsoft Windows maybe and sure Android there are older versions
actual seam like 6.13.something but moist offer still 6.09 or nearby
So player with Win or on Phone might test it, if they want and report

further:
8 updates with sometime several changes on 4.9. and only one update on 5.9

build ID 15591333 if from 4.9. 14.21. UTC (public)
but followed by 15591599 14:38 UTC (test)
then 15601838 at 5.9. at 10:21 UTC (test)

= mean for me 16:21 ICT and
that mean that the version we seam to see with the ending 333 is NOT the newest !
The chat above did not help far, as I also see no beta version ...

If we reinstall latest version we should see BuildID: 15601838
but there is an option for get the latest ... I check

And I just see something more:
The servers seam to be online and working - as the steam charts show a drop of gamer, but since 5.9. there are still between 38-92 player online !
So it is clear that some player without automatic update don't have that problem.

Just tested on Phone Google Play version 6.14.1 from 08.09.24 stuck at the cycling, where we get the no server quit.

And yes again, servers are there,
already fell to #14 in Thailand and overall #500 around.

Using old AIO PC (J2900) Windows7 and install Steam, install Frontline worked and I was in for one game = so slow there, died 3 times, no kill haha

So it is not steam, it seam clear to be a problem of steam/Linux.

I lost 4 days of continues reward, been online daily - the rank is not that important, another week another fun
