Other than that, some companions have their own quests that become availavle at some point, for which you have to talk to them to get. I remember one if them becomes available just before the final mission.
After playing through the game, it actually looks like many of the chests are missable because a large number of the quest-related areas cannot be revisited. While it is not specifically listed as a missables guide, the following guide gives a good summary of where all of the items are in the game. The only correction that I would make to the guide is that the 600 credit fee to Lorne is actually required for recruitment. (The guide hints that it is optional, but it is not. If you don't pay right away you can still pay it later, exit to the world map, and then come back and pay the 10,000 credits to recruit.)

Other than that, it's just a matter of being careful to not progress too quickly and make sure you have a save at the beginning of each chapter just in case you accidentally miss something. I really wish that the devs hadn't unnecessarily blocked areas off the way that they did because it sort of weakens the game's sense of exploration.
