Stuck in Scimerex village

FRUSTRATION!
I've gone through the Scimerex village on Rhomu, spoken to absolutely everyone, got the hints about the server not operating at full capacity and the tech guy wanting us to bring a thingamabob from storage so he/it can fix the server. I also got the translatocon from the pod hatchery. But the door to the storage never opens, and the Scimerex outside isn't helping! I can't enter the tower/Hive on the world map until I've done... something in the village.
So, what am I supposed to do in the village?

The 1st building on the right. B4 you go into it there is a weird looking computer outside it right below the door. Its a bright green color. That door will open the storage room. Then talk to the guy again on the 2nd building on the right and give him what you found. Then go into the 1st building on the right and use the control panel that no one is at...

That's... pretty much the only thing I have NOT done in the village. Right, I'll try doing that. Thanks!

Ugh, you can't access it from below like every other computer, you have to be on the side.
