How does "style" works, exactly?
I've just started the game, and I'm loving it so far :) I think I understand how attributes work, but I'm unable to find how the "style" mechanics works exactly...

I guess it's necessary for the "desperation" mode to activate, but... it's used for something else? It makes attacks more potent? More criticals? It applies to attacks only? Or also programs and items?

If anyone could explain it to me, I would be very grateful :)

Every % of Style increases your damage by that amount up to 100%. So 50% Style = 50% extra damage, 100% = double damage. Over 100% does nothing besides being used for Burst attacks which use all remaining Style for up to 300% extra damage (quad damage). You need 50% Style to enter Desperation mode which lets you go into negative HP, but if you don't heal them they die on their turn. On Super Spy (hardest) you need 100% Style to enter Desperation mode. Style should affect all damage and healing with no exceptions, the Devs themselves said this.

You can look at these two for more information. The is mostly just a transcription of the in-game tutorials with some explanation added in.

The "mini guide" post itself is as spoiler free as possible but the nature of discussing it is prone to bring up spoilers. So be warned, the latter posts have spoilers (so just read the first post). Although its a bit of a wall of text, so if you don't want to know every mechanic of the game, don't bother :)

Wow! Thank you! This is exactly what I needed. The explanation about style shows up early in the game and never shows again, and I forgot the details. So, yeah, this is it. I suspected the damage boost, but I was not sure.

I've read in the guide that they plan to update the tutorial messages ingame. Probably it would be a good idea to make some of these details always accesible through the game menu or something. I mean, it's a fairly simple and understandable sytem, but not as apparent as everything else.

Anyway, I'm ejoying the game a lot. Intrigued about how things are going to develop :)
