RIP Game

It would have been cool if the devs told us they couldn't continue developing the game or something, but nope, this project was seemingly just abandoned, no refunds given and the devs took the money and ran. What a bummer, because this game could have been really cool, it already had the basis for a good game, it just needed more content.

I actually hope someone takes this idea and turns it into a completed game.

I do find it funny that the Store page still exists and that the discussion forums aren't locked. The devs apparently didn't even bother to disable posting or change the information on the Store page.

With the new refund thing they just put up today we might be able to get refunds if we ALL request it.

Probably not, it says within 2 weeks of purchase. If there was any game I could take back, it would be X: Rebirth anyways. This game was only a few dollars.

The amazing atom website is gone, none of the developers that have originally posted here seem to have posted anything since february anywhere, the publisher Mumbojumbo hasn't tweeted anything for a year. Same with their facebook page. To be honest, I don't care for the money, I don't care if it's forever cancelled. But I do want to know, or hear something.. anything from any of the developers about what the hell happened.

Possibly kicking the nuts of the people responsible would be satisfying.

Do you know how to open .mjz files? I'm not sure if it's a specific game format, or propietary.

I have no experience with modding :(. But every game is possible to mod!

Maybe rename .mjz in someting that you can open?

That's not how file extensions work, haha. Sometimes it can, but that's for other reasons.

In order to mod a game either the files need to be easily replaceable (Such as custom skins for Spelunky) or we need access to the game engine to be able to repack files as we see fit.

So, unless someone knows how to open .mjz files there is nothing we can do. (Googling found no results, there was one hit on a program for opening "game files" but it didn't accept .mjz as a format.)

Also you start to run into possible legal issues with "hacking" someone elses game. Even if the company website doesn't exist they probalby retain ownership of the IP.
