The fact that this game has so many cards is actually against it. People who have account level 80+ still miss some cards that are considered best of the best, and above 1000 elo if you dont have one of the top decks, you might aswell stop trying because you will win only 1 out of 10 games.
They added the way to get single cards only a month ago, but imagine opening 500 card packs and still not getting some cards. or only getting one copy of a card that you need 4, and getting 5 copies of cards that are unique (that means you can only use 1 in your deck).
Nothing in this game changes, they have not added any new game mode since closed beta, they are not going to add more PvE missions because their AI is too limited (they have said it themselves, that they are not happy with AI and will not add any PvE missions untill they fix it).
It takes them FOREVER to fix bugs, they released a broken champion Ammar, then it took them more than a month to fix his ability.
They had a bug in one Event "week of austerity", it took them 3 months to fix it.
Do not expect balance changes other than nerfs. When you look at the screenshots where they provide some number data from their game, you will see a champion called Kieran, who has over 60% win rate. This win rate is from 5 months ago, then he got nerfed and NOBODY played him since that time, this is why his win rate is so high, ATM you will get murdered if you play him.
There are only few top decks, and if you dont have one of them, do not expect to win alot above 1000 elo.
B/c if that's the case, the upcoming Hex game seems to have devs that actually care about the game.
You can actually get all the cards, you just have to play in order to get the gold/seals, to open packs/boxes and get cards or wildcards, that can later be used to buy more cards.
And yes, there ar edecks that work with just common/uncommon cards :) though I don't find it that hard to get the rares, since you now have the wildcard system.
The only downside comes with the patches. Since this game also is available on ipad. It takes a little bit more time to get patches and fixes done.
But imo, it's a game worth trying and I bet whoever plays it will have fun (except that one mission. That one was so hard at first!!)
Also, the community is awesome :D people are always happy to be of any help.
On another hand - heartstone seems more f2p friendly then this one - you can actualy do something with what you get from start and when you lvl your hero up (as most of that cards are core of every deck). So for relax or rage over cards dont comming heartstone - for make your brain work this one =P
