Might & Magic: Duel of Champions

Might & Magic: Duel of Champions

I don't understand why they are shutting down the game.
I don't understand how the best online card game comes to an end, why can't they leave us the game without updates? We don't request much and they would continue making money with the sells.

It's very sad that such a great and unique game will end as if nothing.

I played more than 1.500 hours and it's my favourite game from steam, if I come here is for this game and now Ubisoft wants to close it, as if veteran players
don't matter.

Seriously, I don't understand why they close a good game that more people may play later and take risks creating a new one that may be even worse, not to mention that there aren't many good card games.

A salute to all players who feel the same as me.

Because it's terrible and unbalanced and should have been shut down years ago. The game could have been decent but ubitrash is far too incompetent to make it happen.

The terrible fact is that the game didn't update and they don't mind, and too because there are so many people how say that the game is so bad, when they actually the typical kids players that loose and rage it. By the way there are very famous games that are played by a lot of people but are terribly unbalanced, should it be a valid reason for closing them when is the best online card game? People are always arguing.

I also think it is sad news that the game is shutting down. The state of it is not that bad that it should get shut down. And fresh content could rehype it back up. The best thing it would be that if it would get sold to another creative team with good publisher it would live on. Sadly in this case it is not so.

to be honest there are card games that are far more unbalanced like RNGstone, might and magic has actualy a pretty ok balance. I hardly ever got an opponed whose deck was far superior than mine, but I have played a long time ago so I dunno if the balance is still the same as it was then.

Wont it be possible to keep playing it privat, like against friends?
Aradia Aug 29, 2016 @ 5:59am
No, because the game will be closed completely.

Any reason to get some more achievements or will that be deleted too? :P

Thanks Ubimoshi for answering, but sincerely you reply what you want to, and you can't still read or care about the opinion of others, so stop spaming to keep up appearances.

Ullandon, I don't know but I think the archivements will remind because they are part of Steam.

Because Ubisoft. They really are the worst western AAA game company there is- and even beyond the western market, the only company worse is Konami. They're incompetent, clueless, and utterly, utterly useless.
I played this game for what 500 hours and I did not spend any money on it .

I played HS for 100 hours and spend $120

Morale of the story is that Greed is what keeps games like this afloat . Yet this game was so friendly to the player that I never felt like spending money on it

For what it worth thank you for providing me with some high quality Card game experince

Well, according to their own FAQ:

"Employees that formerly worked on this project already moved to new challenges within Ubisoft Blue Byte."
"The number of players for MMDoC wasn’t enough for us to sustain the game’s ongoing development or support."

In other words, they no longer have anyone working on the game anyway, but it's not turning a profit so they can't be assed paying server maintenance to keep the game available to the few people still interested in it.

Cus you know, Ubisoft is just so dirt poor. (Obvious sarcasm should be obvious).

Shame too. Was a fairly good CCG. RIParonis.
