Private Servers for MMDoC || MMDoC Is Abandonware?

Anyone know if someone out there is planning on releasing private servers for MMDoC since this seems to be now abandonware?

Anyone know if Ubisoft would be fine announcing they'd take no legal action against non-profit private servers for MMDoC? (So people could still experience a game they themselves no longer wish to own. Thus making it abandonware.)

Not private servers, but there is a group of developers creating a new version of DoC, it is called Duels of Xen'arun.

While I do agree with most of what Nicks says, I still think EA is as bad as ubisoft, for other reasons maybe, but their line of thoughts are the same, ♥♥♥♥ customers, ♥♥♥♥ gamers, le`ts just worry about $, fans come and go.

Well maybe fans come and go, but after what they did with DoC I never bought another game from Ubi and never will, unless of course they make the perfect game and all my friends are playing it.

And regarding Duels of Xen'arun, is true, the lore the esthetics, etc played an important role for me in Doc and probably for many others too, but tbh I have never found another card game with the mechanics Doc had.
So at this point I don`t really care that much about the lore or others things if the mechanics are right. I tried all the card games available at least the f2p ones, and while some are actually good or ok, the mechanics are not for me.

Getting malware which syskeys your computer and tells you to pay some Russians or lose your now encrypted (C:) drive is fairly different from just getting to play a video game you like.
