MotoGP 13 or MotoGP 14 - is the choice obvious?
Due to the huge price drop of current season’s edition I've started to wonder whether to buy it because I’ve recently started watching MotoGP races and my appetite for good moto racing game increased :)
I know that there are many complaints about the 2014 version but I was afraid mainly about that nasty bug with disappearing track… I’ve remembered also that MotoGP 14 works poorly compared to the previous one, but still I was considering a purchase.
Eventually, however, I’ve decided to install MotoGP 13 demo once again. I remembered that it was really great…
Damn, It was! I realized that except better light effects MotoGP 14 is indeed a bit worse than the previous one! It’s laggy, graphics – even with new lighting and much more natural colours – seems to be slightly worse too (that new engine used for the first time in WRC 3 produces really nice image and I'm not sure if using Yebis was a goo idea). I'm not sure but I think that motorbikes don’t drive as smoothly as in ‘13… It’s sad especially that I'm really big fan of Milestone games, particularly GREAT WRC series (it gives me much more fun than CMR 04 ever had!)…

Wll, should I buy 13 or 14? Maybe I’m wrong and all these bugs, first of all the one with track surface, aren’t so common? Maybe full version works better than demo? MotoGp 14 in my local stores is even cheaper than MotoGP 13... but Moto GP 13 demo is awesome and it's perhaps the best moto game from Milestone...

MotoGP 14 is the only way to go. Especially with 2 great A.I. Mods out now. Absolutely amazing how fun a MotoGP career is. And while there are a few bugs, the original physics were always better than MotoGP 13. The bugs are mostly related to other issues such as controllers, video card, etc. I have been modding on MotoGP 13 and 14, the latter is clearly the game, again especially because of amazing mods that also include updated bike liveries, etc. www.racedepartment.com is the place to go, mate. Alles Gute und Viel Spass!!!

With unlock out of the way (cheated).. I vote for 14.. as it have a good modding community!

I actually loved SBK-Generations, as it's a LOT harder then the MotoGP titles.. I also 'cheated' there as I don't unlock things that should be available..(silly steam achivement are OK with me, and the sillier they are the more fun it is) but 2 months after I bought it (really cheap) gameSpy stopped it's support.. and the homepage for the game isn't even there anymore!
Loved one of the cockpit views, as it felt realistic enough, and made it even harder.
The MotoGP still suffers from unmotivated random slowdowns, that can cause a total wipeout, or just a second worse time then you expected (deserved) on that lap.
Cockpit views are horrible, and the helmet cam even worse!
"you have to be LVL39 to drive a slow Ducati with your custom rider" .. I don't think so!!
No sane PC-player wants anything unlockable, if it's not historically correct, and in this case it's one season!

I really hope someone more customer oriented get the licence for MotoGP, and Milestone can go back and do a new SBK-Generations type game again instead.
