MXGP won't start

Just purchased this game, took overnight to download and now it won't even open. When you try to open it, it shows a windows error that MXGP has stopped working. Please help very frustrated!

goto your library and right click the mxgp install via steam and backup game files and see if there is anything it missed. what windows you running it on and did you try the demo first to see if it you start before purchasig the game, mxgp does take alot of video memory to run. worst case senerio that i know you probably dont want to here is delete the local content and redownload it. runs fine on my end except i can't get the multiplayer to load.

Here is a quote from a guy who had the exact same problem, it turned out he was missing a .dll file. in his quote there is a link on how he did it.

Im glad I did some research on this cause the game is fun.... But still mad that I had to search for a file to make a game I just downloaded work.... I hope this helps everyone.
