Worth it for Single Player Only?
Hey guys,

As the title says I have been keeping my eye on this game since it came out and have been waiting for a sale. I can purchase it at greenmangaming for $20 and was wondering if you guys thought it was worth it or not. I downloaded the demo and at first didn't care for it much, but the more I play it the better it gets. Are there any gamebreaking bugs or glitches just within singleplayer? I know multiplayer is ridden with bugs, but I have no intent to play multiplayer.

Within the demo after every race my sound goes out and I have to restart the game. No idea why this happens, I just don't want to buy this game and then find out this a common issue.

Cheers!

It's quite easy in hardest mode. You can cut tracks a lot without getting any penalty. Will get boring in couple days.

If you can get the game for $20 I say get it. If you enjoyed the demo you'll like the game. There are a few fixes that need done on career, but very minor. People do experience the sound cutting out sometimes after races, I for one have NEVER had that issue. With the AI being easy on REALISTIC and PRO with MANUAL Transmission settings, there is a MOD out for respawn time that makes it a little more challenging. With the MOD, when you crash you/AI remain off the bike for 5 seconds. Its a lot better then the half second respawn time. *CAUTION* before installing the MODS make sure you back up your game files first. As for track cutting? It is a huge issue for Online, but not in Career or any other mode. You don't need to worry about the AI riders cutting the track. :) If your strictly an offline gamer? I think you would enjoy this game.

Maybe before you buy the game try this out for the sound loss and see if it works in the demo. It worked for only some people.

If you are currently experiencing any of this issues:
• Randomly audio loss
• No sound from bike
Please try to switch from “surround” to “stereo” on your audio card’s configuration’s panel. It is possible that some USB audio devices aren’t fully supported by the game. We suggest you to try another audio input.

Hope this was helpful for you towards your decision.

Thanks guys for your input. I will try your suggestion tonight and report back my results.

Happy racing!

I think it's worth it for single player. I play a couple races every night. I love the more realistic physics, real tracks, and sharp graphics!

Its worth 20 bucks. If people didn't see the potential for greatness, they wouldn't be complaining so much. Its about 85% of the way to being a fantastic game.

After doing some more digging of my own, I am going to hold out on purchasing it until they fix the sound bug. I followed the advice of 135Twitch and still suffer audio loss. It really bums me out when I have to exit the game after every race especially if I'm killing it on the track. If anyone has another solution they would like to share, it would be much appreciated.

Wierd, sound never cut out on me once! (Asus Xonar HDAV 1.3) Also when I use my plasma I use my nvidia card for sound and still doesn't cut out.

It's too bad for a game that plays this well to be riddled with bugs....but what game isn't these days.....

Hey Serge what sound card do you have? Also graphic card? Are you connected via HDMI? Just asking, I'm willing to try looking stuff up to help you out. :) Do you have a headset? If so have you tried sound through the headset to see if it still cuts out? Just throwing you some ideas.

Here is something else you could try if you haven't already. https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2918-QGHC-3562

I use my Realtek Audio found on my motherboard.

I use SLI 760's.

I'm connected via DVI-D

I play using a headset, I haven't tried speakers yet.

Also this is the ONLY game I've ever had problems with in regards to sound shorting out.

I disabled my audio from the motherboard, and just use the audio through my graphics card. I'm sure you already know this, but I'm gonna say it anyways. Make sure your drivers are updated. I've never experianced the sound cutting out.

I made sure everything was updated and still no luck unfortunately.
