Which game is the best? Dirt 3 or WRC4?

Dirt 3 is casual racing game, WRC 4 is really WRC. Different games, but I prefer a lot of more WRC 4.

DiRT 3 is great, but it lacks track variety. Plus it has too much focus on Gymkhana.

WRC is all about rally. I had a lot of fun with previous games.

BTW, DiRT 4 is supposed to be more like DiRT 1 and 2, focusing on rally, rallycross and hillclimb/trailblazer. It should come next year, hopefully.

Dirt 3 is a very good arcade game but with Windows live :(
WRC 4 is more serius and more sim game. not hardcore :).

This is a pure rally game Dirt is everything except rally (Gymkhana, rallycross, trailblazer, etc) and the rally's present .... yaawwnn

Dirt 2 was the best of the Dirt series FYI - the latest isn't always the greatest.

But having said that WRC is aimed more at hardcore fans where as Dirt is more for casual players

I think the rally/rallycross aspects of D3 is far superior to WRC 4. I have both and love both because I'm happy to accept what I can get but for me D3 wins over in this case in terms of video at least.

I'd really like to see hill climbs a la the RalliSport Challenge games on the xbox. Those were incredible..

I`d say if you like rally it`s a no-brainer, since Dirt3 isn`t much of a rally game.
But even if I just take Dirt`s rally bits and compare to WRC4, to me WRC4 is far better.
Dirt is fine as pure arcade racer, but I prefer a little bit of sim.
For me racing games boil down to physics, I need the feeling that the car does what it is supposed to, allowing for precise driving, particularly important on narrow rally tracks.
Imo WRC4 does this very well, on Dirt the tracks need to be super wide to be manageable.
All personal taste and opinion of course.

DiRT 1 and Richard Burns Rally are the two best rally games available. DiRT 2 and 3 are casual arcade games, annoying ones at that. WRC 3 was pretty arcade handling, WRC 4 looks arcade-y, too.
