I'm pretty sure when she leaves they become enemies.
I think you even fight her in a boss battle later (though I kind of lost focus after like hour six)
Hah glad I never invested stardust in her!
She had some good abilities (quicken all, slow all for example), but then Gen has a Paralyze all ability which is EVEN BETTER!
Boss answer!
You will get back all the oculi that you invested. I have confirm it!!
She had my Erin's stone when she left, but they unequip the Oculi. When ever a party member leaves, you get all the Oculi they have equiped back into your inventory. Even when they are all captured and sent to prison, and you are by yourself with the single new partner, you have all the Oculi your other characters used to have equiped.
Erin's stone? What's that?

Special Oculi stone from the Golem DLC pack.
+2% Crit Chance increase, when on weapon
+2% Dodge Chance increase, when on armor
If dead at the end of battle, revive with 50% life after battle, when on accessory
Pretty worthless overall, but a unique oculi none the less.
