Same thing :-(
I hope it gets fixed soon
However, I was able to get the program to running by:
1. Setting EXE file to run as administrator
and
2. changing the Compatibility setting to Windows 8
and
3. Running the EXE file manually
Side notes:
A. On my computer the EXE is located in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Child of Light\" directory and the EXE name is "ChildofLight.exe"
B. For me it did not matter if UPLAY was online or offline.
As far as I understand tech support guys said, "Get lost"
Actually, I think they just admitted to a flaw in their own game
Has anyone tried setting the processor affinity to limit the cpus used? I upgraded from my Xeon so I am able to run the game now, but I figured someone could give it a shot.
I've tried compatibility mode (Windows 8) both for uPlay AND the .exe, and run the .exe in its folder manually as administrator.
I've tried running both as administrator and both on Windows 8 Compatibility mode and the game is still crashing.
The game will crash about 10 seconds into the game - So I'll be able to get to the menu but then ..*crash/ctd*
PC Specs
Windows 10 64-bit
i5 4690
R9 290
EDIT:
Have to run uPlay in Offline mode to get it working.
tl;dr Same
