So you need 2 logins to play your game , which annoy a lot of people + uplay tends to have errors all the time , quite sure you can find multiple threads where people just could not login for example.
its like steam, bnet, origin ect, you have to log in every time you wanna play the game
you will need to start steam, to start uplay, be logged in both of them to play the game.
Its annoying like hell, i hope they die like games for windows live
I've played the Assassin Creed games, Might and Magic X, Fry Cry 3 and Blood Dragon, Splinter Cell and probably some other games I can't remember that use Uplay.
I've never had even a single problem, error, or service disruption.
I don't exactly enjoy being forced to use Uplay, and Ubisoft as a company makes some pretty questionable decisions people may not want to support. Others DO have problems with Uplay but I've personally never had any issues with it.
it fail 3 times to cloud save so i lost all and have to do again from start a game 3 times.
it take time to save leaderbnoard on game like TRIALS evolution ...
no possibility to change your name ....
you have to do again a new friendlist for this game cause it don't use steam friend list .
you don't have automatic update from steam and when you want to play a uplay game you have to wait for a download.
it is useless cause we alreadf use steam and manage our game with it .
if i use big picture and start uplay game i have to go pc and enter username pâssword and it broke big picture experience and it is serious when you have 2d screen in use only in an other room where yu can not bring kb and mouse .
i really stop support this uplay and will never buy a game that force me to use it now !
south park and gunslinger western shooter are ubisoft without uplay !
Steam however has a lot of issues for me (and others), and getting any sort of support from valve is like getting blood from a stone.
Steam cloud save is horrific, it can screw over your games no end. As a result i personally don't use it, prefer to use dropbox. I've also had steam corrupt saves of games while playing the game because steam overlay has crashed.
As for UPlay not being as good, firstly Steam is a LOT older, secondly steam only recently started to add in functionality that should have been in from the start. And what's more UPlay has the reward scheme, which i personally like. Makes achievement completion worth while.
Of course this is vitaly important and not having it is a crime against humanity!! (with ultra heavy sarcasam!)
Not so, if you bought the game on steam then just use your steam friends list, nothing says you HAVE to use UPlay friends list. It's just there because their games aren't sold exclusivly on steam.
Never had a problem with this, mainly because my rig is set to auto update anyway./ so all my games auto update.
Called a wireless pad bro, look them up. There's various sizes from full laptop style pads all the way down to mini ones.
Mostly it the usuall internet bandwagon. It's the 'in' thing to hate on anything none steam. However some people genuinely do have issues running UPlay, just like theres people (like me) who have issues with steam
So I got the Uplay version, it's fully unlocked I won't have any problem since I'm traveling a lot.
I kinda like there rewards system as well, instead of steam cards you unlock in games items.
The only thing that bother me is that I can't minimize Uplay to my taskbar but that's not a big deal.
