Transparent Dialogue Boxes

Whenever a dialogue or information box shows up in the game, it has spotty edges implying a white background, but the rest is transparent, making the dialogue difficult and frequently impossible to read. I've tried various resolution fixes and some reinstall/restarts with no effect. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I'm having this exact same problem omg. I've been trying to find any fixes at all for hours bc i'm not tech savvy at all :(
