Remastered audio issues still present
When scroling the page one of the reviews were:
"
The graphical improvements alone would warrant the 10€ pricetag, but you also get better dialogues and some other changes and improvements to NPCs and the game world.
There is just one big con, and its pretty immersion breaking: Audio issues

The game has a very good soundtrack, but in the remastered version the audio triggers are broken, meaning that stealth, combat and other ambient music constantly overlaps, breaks off, starts again and so on. This was reported by several other players as well, with no solution present.

So until this is fixed I cannot recommend this version over the orginal
"

So my question is really simple, is the above still the case?
I own the complete edition, but what should I do with this remaster, wait for an update?

I'm playing the remaster now and audio department is indeed the weakest part of it. Music triggers are borked, yes, but not in all of the zones, what you describe happens mostly in open world areas. Main plot mission areas are ok, never encountered audio looping or overlapping there. I think because they're rather small or just cut off from the open world. Also all audio output of the game produces a distinct 'pop' (basically it hiccups) at a random time, no matter what you hear at that time, be it dialogue, ambient audio or music. I guess it all boils down to the same problem with all audio in the game.
Some people also report that general audio balance is off, some sounds are heard almost near you, when the source is far away. It's indeed the case, some robot ambient sounds are very loud. Some tell that all dialogue audio sounds compressed, but I can't confirm that, it sounds like in the original. Can't comment on its loudness though. Maybe these reports are old and it was fixed since then.
Despite all those issues remaster is an upgrade over the original for the most part. It could have recieved better treatment and still requires some polishing, like fixing awful lipsync and wonky dialogue animations, which are advertised as an upgrade and were supposedly reworked.
There're some minor issues with meshes and materials, which you can encounter as well, but that's beyond the scope of the answer, so I won't delve into that.

Yes, the audio department is still the weakest part of this port. It's deeply messed up.

I'm having the same issues with music. All I got now (since a few runs) is either the combat music or the one where you are detected but not seen.

all files/drivers are properly updated, no mods before someone say something about it.

I had the same issues as well. I was having a talk with Rost by the campfire talking about how we're about to go outside the Embrace and during that conversation and dramatic music, the music just cuts out to nothing. I'm doing the verify steps then I'll put it in the support ticket to let them know the issue. Which I've very sure they are aware of. They have put out patches on a regular basis with the last two being a month from each other so maybe something will come along.

Then I'll wait some more and keep my fingers crossed the DLC will receive an update, so thank you all for the headsup!

It's crazy how many issues this version still has and they haven't done an update in like 5 or 6 weeks now. I don't care if they need to take a bit of time, but I wish they'd at least put out a post saying what they are planning to do.

Just remembered one thing on top of what I've already mentioned.
If you play for a very long time, like 7-8 hours, all music may just cut off (even in the menu screens), plus some of Aloy's ambient voice lines become inaudible. Maybe some other characters, but I wasn't able to test or confirm that. You can see the subs, but not hear the audio. Cinematic conversations seem ok, but this silence can only be fixed by a complete game restart, reloading or just exiting to main menu is not enough. Happened to me twice, always when I played overnight, so it's likely 6 hours session at least. Clearly audio engine that Nixxes used in the remaster needs more work.
Just in case someone is searching for the same thing happening to them (here or in google, etc), so here you are, you're not high, tripping or mistaken lol, it all can happen and it's the game at fault, not your hardware or os. I've already tried many basic things that can fix the audio, but nothing worked or changed anything, so I assumed it's on the devs to fix.
In case you're wondering, I have a dedicated sound card, Xonar Essense STX.
If this remastered has problems with audio, woudln't everyone talk about audio problems in the forums and reviews? Sounds to me there is something else going on.
♥♥♥♥ it. I just buy it for 8€ it's okay. I wil see for myself.

If you have the audio issues be sure to come back and comment about it. I think most people just dealt with the issue in the end. The silent majority.

This is the issue that still persists though for clarity and this was 4 months ago. You can see it happen right after the 56:00 and after the 57:25 mark.

Wow, I wouldn't ever accept that, talking about game breaking immersion

LoL, thank you for beta testing.
I am getting barely any voice audio in the cinematics. Music is fine. Voice is either absent or partial. Anyone else with this issue? Anyone with a solution?
