Original is better IMO. It runs much smoother/faster and looks just as good. The new version does add some quality of life improvements, like no loot animations, but it also adds new bugs, like corrupted audio data points. The original FOV at 90 of 100 is wider than the remaster at max (which is like ~70 of 100 in the original). This alone is a deal breaker for me. The forced PSN account = Oh Hell no!

Runs smooth. Graphics = beautiful (near Forbidden West)
I got no problems. Just 2 Crashes and a few problems with Upscaling. TAA or DLAA works best
100% worth for me

The only downside:
PSN Account

The game-play and story are identical but the Remaster looks so much better, if you have the hardware to run it well. It brings the original to the same graphical level as the sequel, Forbidden West.
If your hardware isn't up for it, the original version still looks quite good, too.

If you don't have either version yet you get a bundle here on Steam that gives you both versions anyway. Then you can just try which one you like better...

The sound technical department is significantly better in the Original and the transmog feature they added in patch 1.4 is bugged. Apart from that, the remaster is overall better for me, especially visually and graphics-wise.

considering all the problems since launch with the Remaster version that WERE present in the Complete edition when it first launched, yeah Complete edition is by far the most optimized. i dont get how they launch this game AGAIN and literally do the SAME BUGS AND NOT OPTIMIZE THE GAME AGAIN.

I couldn't care less about Steam achievements, why would I want useless PSN trophies on top of that???

The PSN account is annoying and useless, but at least for me, it's not a deal-breaker either...

bc i got steam and dont need a S* PSN account.
+ Sony got a sh* system.
i needed 2 hours to make this stupid account in ragnarok.
(web was okay but connection to steam doesnt work..validation issue or other problems)
+ how many times Sony got hacked?.....

i dont need that trophies @ PSN... like a lot of other ppls

They loose lot of sales bc of that (not all countries can create a PSN account)
and i hope they feel it in the future

I put in like 10-20 hours in the original gane and a bit of an achievement hunt but that was years ago. When its time to pick it back up, I cant decide if i want to start over with the remastered since i already put in time and achievements in the original. I just hope they dont raise the upgrade price.

That should be done with ANY account you ever make, not just with PSN.

Best password manager I've seen so far is Bitwarden, which makes it easy to not have to remember every password for every site you've ever needed an account on.

If you haven't played the original and you have a good PC, you should play the Remastered one.
I am enjoying the new one. Environment looks a lot better. Characters too especially Aloy. Many quality of life feats and better dialogues "cutscenes". 10 Euro / Dollars is a good price for this.

I don't think there is much difference that I have seen.. But i enjoyed both of them. What i really liked about the remake, was that I was able to start all over with getting some of the things i missed the the first one. I do believe i am enjoying the remake more.
