the game enters an infinite load after the mission "the proving" as if the bow bug wasn't enough after you manage to pass the mission the game remains in an infinite load after the cutscene, and after a long time waiting for the load to finish in the hope of returning to normal the game simply freezes completely having to force the game to close

Same thing just happened to me, finished the aloy-gets-out-of-bed cutscene, and then just...stuck forever on the loading screen.

It helped for me to Alt F4 and then restart the game, then the game loaded the sequence after the cutscene.

An odd thing happened to me but I completed the Proving and it was after I was told to go outside the gate but a boss battle starts it played the cutscene for the boss to arrive but then it suddenly stopped and went backwards to the start of it all to get that cutscene going but it also threw me outside the gate and wouldn't continue unless I restarted from last save luckily it fixed it.
