Crashes after running in-game Benchmark
Earlier today I tried the PS5 version of HZD Remastered and had a couple of random crashes. I read that this can depend on your specific PS4 game save, and that choosing another PS4 save can solve this. Because my main interest currently is the PC version I put that version on hold, waiting for an upcoming fix.

A few hours later the PC-version of this game became available (launch day), and it crashes every time I run the Benchmark (in Settings). My guess is that Nixxes didn’t test the game on a 57” neo G9, which has a 7680x2160 resolution. (I’m using a 4090, latest drivers; Windows 11, fully updated) During gameplay I already saw textures flickering when walking through Meridian. Then I tried the Benchmark several times. It crashed every time, shortly after running each test.

Nixxes is aware of this if it's crashing on the results screen, turn off HDR is a workaround according to them

Does this also apply to the texture flickering in Meridian? It looked quite a mess. I could lower some settings temporarily.

Where exactly is the benchmark? I can't fit it all in the submenus.

It's in the graphics settings, press 'Tab'

I don't think so, that's either a driver or game issue I think

That's odd because I've run the benchmark 5 times, 2 times with the latest drivers and 3 times with the older 560.94 driver. I'm currently sticking with the the older drivers because they give me 101, 93 and 101 FPS in the benchmark and the new ones gave me 81 and 83 FPS or up to 20% worse.

Haven't played very far into the game, basically the opening and did the Odd Grata quest and killed a few machines but so far I haven't had any problems with the older drivers. I know some people were have weird face texture problems in Forbidden West with the latest drivers so I'm guessing there is something not right in the latest Nvidia drivers

can confirm this works. HDR is the culprit that crashes the game once the benchmark is done. turning it off before running the benchmark fixed it for me.

Use DLSS Swapper to update the games DLSS version (other games too), sometimes it can help with artifacts
