I am using the older ones (I think I downloaded them one month ago) and it is working fine. I just had some weird hair glitches on one character during a cutscene.
I do like the way the benchmark breaks down usage by CPU and GPU which makes it easier to see where the limiting factor is which in my case seems to be the CPU. However it is kind of weird that the CPU bottleneck is worse with the latest drivers compared to the older drivers.
Drivers arent always the issue, even after updating. I always update my drivers the moment new ones become available and have so far never had a single issue due to it.
It is possible some settings reset after you update the driver or game needs to be optimized again through gforce experience or nvidia app or the 3d settings in nvidia control panel.
Check those first and also make sure you do a reboot after you update the drivers.
I've seen issues with several older games with both Nvidia and AMD drivers breaking older games that worked fine before the driver update. Go to either's forums and after just about every update you'll see people having problems with older games. The reason for that is Nvidia and AMD only test their drivers with newer games because it is simply impractical to test 100,000 old games.
For instance the latest Nvidia drivers drop my FPS in the benchmark by 20% from 101 with the 560.94 to 81 FPS with the latest. There are also people having tace textures and face paint popin problems with the latest Nvidia drivers in both Forbidden West and this Remaster that I'm not having with 560.94
If it ain't broke don't try to fix it ..... Eventually it will catch up to you and I've been building computers on the x86 platform since 1988
